The Best Warranty in the Industry
European Touch teams with Kemper to offer a 3-Year
Extended Service Plan
As of November 1, 2009, every new Clean Touch Altera, Forte,
Rinato, and Rinato XL pedicure spa, and the Murano spa will come
with a one year parts and labor warranty, and at time of purchase,
owners can buy an additional two year parts and labor service
plan (see pricing detail below). By combining the European Touch
first year warranty and the two year extended service plan you
can have peace of mind for three full years.
Must I file for the warranty?
Yes. Just as you would with a car, TV, or appliance in order to
initiate/execute the warranty, the paperwork must be filed. [see
warranty form] As the purchaser of the pedicure spa, you need to
supply:
- The address of the facility, the contact name, and phone
number.
- You will need to elect to either purchase the two year
extension, or decline it. Either requires a simple initial
and date in the appropriate box.
- If you elect to purchase the extension, note that the
paperwork cannot be filed until the appropriate payment
has been submitted to European Touch. (European Touch
will forward payment and the completed paperwork to
KCM. Allow approximately four weeks for this
processing to be complete and notification of your
warranty). For Murano owners, note that there is
additional boxes to complete due to a separate glass
coverage option.
- Finally, the form must be signed by the salon owner or
manager and returned (faxed or mailed) to:
- European Touch
- 8301 w Parkland Court
- Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53223
- Fax- 414-357-6360

Is the European Touch Year one warranty the same as
European Touch has offered in the past?
No, European Touch has always offered a one year parts warranty.
This new European Touch/ Kemper program includes parts and
labor for one full year from original ship date, and you have the
option to buy the two year extension for a total of three years.
Here is how it works.
Each new European Touch pedicure spa now comes with a one
year parts and labor service plan paid by European Touch. At the
time you buy your new European Touch pedicure spa you can elect
to purchase an additional two year extended service plan, for a
total of three years.
Can I buy the extended warranty at a later date?
Yes, but note that there are exceptions and cost differences. You
can purchase the Kemper service plan at any time within your
year one warranty, but if purchased this way the cost is slightly
higher due to a $50 per spa administration fee and Kemper will
require an inspection first (fee applies), and Kemper may exclude
pre-existing conditions.
Is there a deductible?
During the European Touch first year of warranty there is no
deductible. However, for years two and three, each time you use
an authorized service person there is a $25.00 co-pay, paid
directly to the service company by the salon at the time of
service. This is similar to a health insurance co-pay you pay each
time you visit the doctor.
What about parts?
This program requires use of manufacturer original parts from
European Touch. When it is determined that a new part is needed,
simply order that part from European Touch and pay as you would
with any purchase. Submit the parts invoice along with a service
form to Kemper for reimbursement.
Are there any exclusions to the warranty?
Yes. There are controllable actions that will destroy spa equipment and should always be avoided. European Touch clearly marks known examples of these on page one of the owners and repair manuals supplied with each pedicure spa. The normal insurance exclusions such as "Act of God” for hurricanes, floods, etc. apply. For these issues you should contact your property or business insurance. A fire would also void the agreement and be covered by business insurance. Other key exclusions include:
- When installing commercial equipment code UL1795 specifies that a GFIC ground-fault interrupter be installed. Failure to follow this, or any other state or federal code, may result in electrical damage to your equipment and will void warranties.
- Use of destructive cleaning chemicals using sodium hypochlorite or halide chemicals (including chlorine bleach or iodine based products) can discolor and destroy chrome, rubber, and plumber's putty and will normally result in leaks to the plumbed portions of the spa. Use of such products will void the service plan on the plumbing within the spa. (A detailed list is included in the owner's manual)
- As with most warranties, if the unit is customized after delivery from European Touch the warranty no longer applies.
- (We recommend that you read the actual contract for full details
Why the exclusions?
Any warranty, whether it is for your car, your washing machine, television, or pedicure spa, is in place to keep the equipment operational under normal circumstances. Abuse or misuse is not covered. We recommend that salon owners advise their employees of normal use and care as part of their training.
Do all parts require a service technician?
No. In all European Touch pedicure spas there are approximately a dozen parts that are simple and easy to replace. Though this service plan covers these parts, it will not reimburse for service to replace them. This is clearly pointed out in the details on the service plan.
Why must I use a pre-authorized service provider?
The goal is to keep your European Touch pedicure spa in good working order. Kemper statistics show that untrained service usually results in more down time and additional service calls. Pre-approved service providers are professional service technicians who have agreed to warranty their work for 30 days and to undergo ongoing European Touch service training. However, the agreement does allow for a salon to service their own spas, or use outside help, but the service fee will not be reimbursed. Authorized manufacturer parts are reimbursed even when the salon does their own repair.
What records must a Preferred Service Provider or the salon supply in order to get reimbursed?
Service providers agree to:
- Provide the contract number and actual serial number for each and every spa serviced, every time service is done.
- Provide a detailed list of parts and services ( form supplied) to Kemper so that reimbursement can be made. A copy of this report must also be sent to European Touch. When service is done by the salon, this same form is submitted to Kemper for reimbursement of the parts.
- You must agree to return any parts designated as to be returned” when given a Return Authorization at the time the replacement parts are shipped. Failure to return a RA required item could result in denial of payment for the part under the program.
Is this warranty and extended service plan available anywhere in the world?
No. Unfortunately at this time this service plan program is only available in the United States. For all other locations the European Touch one year parts warranty is available.
Are all European Touch pedicure spas covered?
No. Kemper requires that a spa be in the marketplace for a period of time for assessment before coverage can be determined. At this time only the Clean Touch Altera, Forte, Rinato, and Rinato XL pedicure spa, and the Murano spa are covered. All other pedicure spas carry our standard 1 year parts warranty.
